Empty Bowls Dinner: Thursday January 21, 2010
The Empty Bowls Dinner is an event organized around serving a simple meal of soup and bread to raise money for a local hunger relief organization. Each person who participates in the dinner receives a hand made pottery bowl which they use for the evening meal and then take home with them as a reminder that someone's bowl is always empty. Students and staff at Parker Academy made the bowls for this years event.
Almost all of the bowls have already been reserved,with the proceeds going to the Friendly Soup Kitchen in Concord.
Empty Bowls is a project of The Imagine/Render Group, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to positive and lasting social change through the arts, education, and projects that build community.
