Marby has been working in special education in NH since her senior year in college when she had a practicum at the Anna Philbrook Center. After 16 years there which included helping establish the Tobey School, she spent two years as a Learning Abilities Specialist at Hillsboro-Deering Middle School. In the fall of 1990, after a year away from schools, she became a Learning Abilities Specialist and, eventually, Special Education Coordinator at John Stark Regional High School in Weare, NH. She joined Parker Academy in the fall of 2003 to oversee special education.
Marby is certified in NH with endorsements in English, General Special Education, Learning Disabilities, Emotional Handicaps and Special Education Administration. She belongs to a variety of organizations supporting both special and regular education, including the NH Association of Special Education Administrators, the NH Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the National Council of Teachers of English. She is on the board of the NH Council for Exceptional Children and in 2007-08 was a member of a NH Department of Education committee to review the standards for certification in English Language Arts. |
