Basic Timber Framing

This class is unique in that it looks specifically at the history and techniques of timber frame construction. Students will learn the properties and traits of the different wood used as timbers, and the theory behind this timeless form of building. Basic design, frame assembly, and joinery are all points of instruction. Students will work collectively on a common project while learning and using individual skills and tools.
