Spanish I will introduce students to the basics of the Spanish language. The focus of the class is to instruct students on basic grammar and pronunciation as they build an introductory vocabulary base and key conversational phrases. Students will learn how to conjugate verbs in the pretence, present and future tenses and will be asked to translate short passages and write paragraphs in Spanish. The course also highlights important historic events, artistic movements, and cultural cuisine found in various Spanish-speaking countries.
