The Psychology course covers the basic concepts of psychology, including the development of personality, emotions, motivation and perception. Students learn about the many influences that may affect human behavior. The course initially focuses on learning the different regions of the brain and their subsequent functions. The course then moves into the study of behavior, learning and intelligence, focusing on the works of Pavlov and Skinner. Students will also study social psychology and social psychologists such as Zimbardo and Millgram and their influences on the study of behavior. This course also includes the study of memory and an overview of abnormal psychology. The students will be asked to apply what they have learned through the use of case studies.
