Parker Academy

Calculus students work with functions represented graphically, numerically, analytically or verbally and understand the connections among these representations. Students should be able to understand the derivative in terms of rate of change and local linear approximations and understand the definite integral both as a limit of Riemann sums and a net accumulation of a rate of change. Students should be able to model problem situations with functions, differential equations or integrals.
