Advanced Placement Physics is a college-preparatory course designed to further investigate the concepts covered in Mathematical Physics and to ready students for the AP Physics exam. The course will use more methods of analysis, such as graphical and calculus, of topics including kinematics, statics, work and energy, electromagnetism and rotational motion as well as cover more advanced topics including thermodynamics, simple harmonic motion and oscillations, material strength and strain, and modern Physics. Students will be asked to investigate, supplement and display their knowledge of material through a combination of written computation, lab investigations and hands-on construction of projects throughout the year. Mathematics, Physics, and Pre-Calculus are prerequisites for this class. Go back to Mathematics & Science page
