Parker Academy

Advanced studio art seminar course is for those students who have a strong interest in art and who have had at least one full year of studio art. Students will be encouraged to pursue areas of greatest interest and inclination while honing skills in both technique and analysis. In addition to studio work, students will meet weekly for critiques and discussion about their own work, work of their peers and the work of established artists as they develop the skills necessary to evaluate and understand the language of art. Sketchbooks will be an integral part of this course and will be used both in and out of class.
