Athletics/Sports
Wellness,
including regular physical activity that promotes good health and relieves stress, is an important part of the Parker
Academy curriculum. Parker Academy is outfitted with fitness and training equipment including a treadmill,
free weights and stationary bicycles. In addition, we make use of local facilities such as the City of Concord's
playing fields, tennis and basketball courts. Students have the opportunity to take individual lessons and learn
new skills as well as participate in group activities. Individual, lifelong sports and activities are encouraged
and participation is emphasized over winning or losing. If a student happens to excel in a particular sport and
wishes to compete, arrangements can be made. Activities offered may include: aerobics, jogging, tennis, gymnastics,
basketball, softball, skiing, golf, weight training, yoga, and biking.
Parker Academy competes against other small schools within the Southern New Hampshire Private School Athletic
Association in soccer and basketball. All our athletic teams are coed and open to any player who wishes to participate.
Some of the schools with whom we compete are Jesse Remington School, RSEC, Mt. Royal Academy,
Milford Christian School and Concord Christian School.
